Create jobs, add and invite candidates, and compare results from a conversation with Claude
With the Scoutly connector, Claude can work in your Scoutly workspace for you. Ask in plain words and Claude turns a job post into an interview, adds your candidates, emails their invitations once you confirm, and compares the results when the interviews are done. Candidates still take their interview in Scoutly, and Scoutly still scores every answer.
Before you start
A Scoutly account with access to the workspace you want Claude to use
Claude on the web, desktop or mobile, or Claude Code
To create jobs or invite candidates, the Member role or higher in that workspace. With the Viewer role, Claude can only read.
Connect in Claude
1
Open Claude's connectors
In Claude, go to Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
2
Add Scoutly's address
Name it Scoutly and paste this address:
https://mcp.scoutly.be/mcp
3
Sign in and allow
Click Connect. Scoutly opens in a new window: sign in, pick the workspace Claude may use, check what it will be able to do, and choose Allow.
Claude Team and Enterprise
On these plans, an owner may need to add the connector for your organisation first. Each person then connects their own Scoutly account.
In Claude Code
Run this in your terminal, then run /mcp in Claude Code and sign in to Scoutly:
claude mcp add --transport http scoutly https://mcp.scoutly.be/mcp
What you can ask
Claude picks the right Scoutly tool and tells you what it did. A few examples:
"Turn this job post into a 20-minute interview in Tunisian Arabic."
"Add these 12 people from the spreadsheet to the call-centre job."
"Here are three CVs. Add these candidates to the DevOps job with their CVs."
"Show me who would get an invitation, then send them."
"Give the customer advisor job a public link I can post on LinkedIn."
"Who are my top three for the DevOps role, and why?"
"Compare Sarra and Yasmine on the customer-care criteria."
What Claude can do
Read (never changes anything)
Workspace overview: jobs and candidates at a glance, including interviews completed in the last 7 days
List jobs and Get job details: questions, criteria, language, formats and the public link
List candidates: everyone who interviewed for a job, sortable by score
Get candidate report: summary, a score with evidence for each answer, criteria and integrity events; optionally the transcript
Compare candidates: two to ten candidates of the same job side by side
Make changes
Create job from description: builds a complete interview from a job post. The job is created invite-only, so nobody can take it until you share a link or invite people.
Create public link: a link anyone can use to take the interview
Add candidates: adds people with their name, and optionally email, notes and their CV (Claude reads a CV you share and passes its text; up to 25 per request), and returns each person's personal interview link. It sends no email.
Email interview invitations: sends invitations to candidates already added (see below)
Invitations always wait for you
Sending invitations takes two steps. Claude first shows you who would be emailed and who would be skipped (no email address, already invited, or already started). The emails go out only after you confirm. Invitations come from your workspace's name, and replies go to your email address.
Want to review the interview first? Ask Claude to create the job, open the link it gives you, and adjust the questions in Scoutly before you invite anyone.
See and revoke connections
In Scoutly, open Settings, then Connected apps. Each connection shows the app, the workspace, what it can do, when it was connected and last used, and its recent activity: which tool ran and when, never candidate content.
Choose Revoke to disconnect it. It stops working immediately. To use Claude with Scoutly again, connect it again from Claude.
Limits
To keep a long conversation from running away, connected apps have hourly limits for each person:
20 new jobs and 20 invitation sends per hour
60 public links and 60 candidate imports per hour
60 requests a minute for each connection
When a limit is reached, Claude tells you to try again later. Reading jobs and reports keeps working.
Troubleshooting
"Your role in this Scoutly workspace is read-only": you have the Viewer role. Ask a workspace admin to make you a Member.
Claude doesn't see a new tool: start a new chat, or disconnect and reconnect Scoutly in Claude's connector settings.
Claude asks you to sign in again: the connection was revoked, or unused for 30 days. Connect again from Claude.
Wrong workspace: revoke the connection in Settings, then Connected apps, and connect again, choosing the right workspace.
